The discovery and distribution of this recipe is my small gift to the working man or woman.
It's simple, fast and packs taste. And whenever I make it, my husband brags about my mastery of this recipe to everyone. And man, that feels pretty good.
Without further ado, here it is:
Roast beef swirlwiches
Ingredients
1/2 lb thinly sliced roast beef (I get Black Angus roast beef)
1/4 cup Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce (get low-sodium to cut down on that salt)
1 cup shredded havarti with dill cheese
1/2 cup minced green onions and tops
6 (8-inch) flour tortillas (for a healthier meal, try wheat tortillas)
1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped crisp lettuce
1 tbsp vegetable oil, about
Preparation
1. Spread roast beef slices out in shallow pan; pour in teriyaki sauce. Turn beef slices over to coat each piece. Marinate for 5 minutes, turning over occasionally.
2. Meanwhile, sprinkle 2 rounded tbsp cheese and about 1 tbsp green onion evenly on each tortilla.
3. Remove beef from marinade.
4. On each tortilla, place equal amounts of beef slices and lettuce; roll up tortilla like a jelly roll.
5. Place rolls, seam-side down on baking sheet or pan. Brush tops of rolls with oil.
6. Bake in preheated 400F oven for 10 minutes, or until tops are crisp and edges are golden brown.
7. Serve immediately.
