Today has special meaning for millions. President Barack Obama was elected one year ago. No matter your opinion of him, his election probably means something to you.
In my household, we remember Nov. 4 for an entirely different reason. Today, had my father beaten his cancer so many years ago, my parents would be celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary.
But nearly 15 years ago, on April 4, 1995, my dad died. Multiple Myeloma killed him.
My sister and I sent our mom flowers. We wanted to let her know that, like every other year on this day, we are thinking of her.

Oh Brady. I'm so sorry. I had no idea that yesterday was a special day for you. To make up for it, I will send happy, positive thoughts (more than usual) all day today.
